Queens, New York/Paris France, They’re practically the same with a Monet Arbor in the Yard.
The love of my life (affectionately known as Pookie Bear), and I live in a rather dilapidated brownstone in Queens. We are syrupy sappy romantics at heart that went to Paris for our honeymoon and it is highly likely we will never be normal again! While in Paris, we visited Monet’s Gardens. Say it aloud, “Monet’s Gardens”, just makes you sigh doesn’t it? Anyway back here in the good ole US of A we were looking for a way to put a pretty face on the scant area loosely referred to as our yard and Pookie Bear found the Monet Arbor on line. It was affordable, durable and best of all very French feeling and very romantic! Once it arrived we couldn’t get to a plant market fast enough! We planted our favorites from Paris, Gerbera’s, Irises, Roses, and a gorgeous Trumpet vine to climb up and over the arbor.
It never would have occurred to me to look at Garden Arbors as a solution for our tiny yard space, but it really has transformed that ratty little patch into a romantic oasis. We can tell people going past on the sidewalk enjoy it too from the comments and smiles. Leave it to my Pookie Bear, he’s a genius!
